I love listening to great music, it guides you to the World’s greatest treasures and reinforces the human spirit.
Real music from the soul is constant, as long as there is life there is a song to go with it and even afterward the musical legacy still lives; the heartbeat, the eclectic world beat of the far East, the percussive highlife sound booming from the African continent, the sizzling grooves and rhythm of the Caribbean, the beautiful arias that flow from the mind of a child prodigy, the smooth funk of a jazz and blues genius, they all represent the sound of life. So music is life. It’s the unifying force that can keep us sane in the midst of insanity, bring us peace in times of turmoil, it’s the ultimate Global connect.
This website is about sharing and discovering that powerful connection of real music from artists and musicians who need their own platform of expression outside the confines of today’s limiting categories and promotion. The Showcase One team came together because of the bass line not the bottom line; we know good music and we respect it, plus it doesn’t hurt that we all have a great sense of humor and get a lot of laughs when we put our crazy creative minds together. Music has taken me from the Caribbean coastlines to the ancient cities of Ethiopia to the melting pots of North America.
